This was great! Thank you! I also have a tendency to add filler words while writing and cutting them can be both unexpectedly hard and unexpectedly satisfying. I just worry that i'll lose the rhythm of the sentence and everything will sound clunky if I just start cutting all those words randomly. It does take thought, but you're right that most of them can go without it being a problem.
Very good reminders for authors (and editors). It’s easy to get hung up on the “right” way to do things, stop trusting your own instincts, and lose your unique voice in the process.

Yeah I don’t usually over write this bad but I’m actually not sure *if* it was overwriting or just a long story 🤣 time and my editor will tell lol!

I totally agree - I can’t just cut willy nilly as sometimes I need those words so it does take extra time!
